Unfortunate News starting April 1 2009, there will not be 6-day home delivery in the immediate Ellwood are. Store sales are still available at many locations. The Sunday home delivery and stores sales will continue as always.
Sunday editions WILL continue to be available for home delivery and for
sale at local stores:
Giant Eagle, 7/11, Uni-Mart, B&B, Ellport Junction, Tic-Toc, The "Store", Kimmels Bakery, Park Gate mini-mart, Marys Burger and Breakfast, North Side News, Rite Aid, and Loccisanos.

Rick has been your local Post-Gazette
carrier since October of 1981. Currently serving Ellwood, Fombell,
Frisco, Wurtemberg, Park Gate, Ellport and other surrounding areas of your
community. Rick's typical schedule is to receive the Post-Gazette's
by 2:30am and have the papers distributed to the stores, carriers and
machines by 7:00am. Rick is also responsible for the collections
from the local stores and customers for payments. Distributing the
Post-Gazette involves a 7 day per week commitment including holidays.

Jerry is a Riverside High School graduate and has been working for
Rick for the better part of 20 years. He handles daily and Sunday routes
in Ewing Park, Ellport, and the Northside. Jerry is a long time area

Closed Down and They're singing about it
....and things haven't been the same in town!

Generation II sold the 1,000th copy of “Things Haven’t Been the Same in
Town Since Pe’Wee’s Closed Down” after their performance at the Ellwood
City Fall Festival.
Band members Chris Nocera (right) and Rick Venezie (left) are pictured
with buyers Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hall, of Franklin Twp. This is the first
original song by the local group that includes Chris Nocera, Michael
Nocera, Rick Venezie, Shelly Reiser, Cory Morton and Mike Smiley. The
song lyrics list changes in Ellwood City in the last few decades. Anyone
wanting to buy a copy of the single can call (724) 752-9930.
Generation II competed in "Battle of the
Bands" and later some of the members met up with Donnie Iris at
National Flag Wave kick off, Freedom PA.
